NEW SERIES
For my Senior X series my theme is Fashion Photography
For my weekly plan, I plan to use a female model to make my series a little more diverse
Experimental
For my experimental pieces I wanted to work on my editing because I don't usually go over the top when editing my pictures . In the first image I used a grey scale to start the editing. From there I also raised the gamma so it added texture to the picture. I then went into image adjustments and messed with the saturation and lowered it, then I went into the levels and moved around the highlights, shadows, and mid tones so that there could be a variety of hues throughout the image. For the next three pictures I did different edits for the same image. The picture itself was experimental because we did a lighting demo and I have never used a lighting set up like it. We used the strobe with two additional lights, one to light the background a one to help separate her from the background. In the blue image I used a threshold effect in Photoshop, this made it look like a duo tone. I first inverted the image then used the threshold effect and chose the colors red and blue because it looked like an inferred camera. I then added text to frame the girl and since her pants are not visible. In the second picture of the girl I wanted to do a solid color filter over her. I first messed with the curves in the settings to make sure the detail in the image so it would not be lost when I added the color over it. Then I made the image black and white After I added the red over the image I went back and added more highlights to the picture to brighten it up. I really like the way it turned out because she almost looks like a statue. In the Final image of the girl I wanted to play with the vibe of her shirt which is cheetah print, this made me think of the 60's. I used those colors because I wanted a neutral tone for the image. I upped the noise in the image and raised the gamma so that it had texture.I added the words cherry bomb because it went with the theme of the 60's. For my final experimental piece I combined what I did in the first and the second pieces of experimental work. I made the picture into a grey scale then used a threshold effect and raised the gamma, lowered the saturation. Went into the levels to mess with the highlights and shadows to make sure there was contrast. I also added text to the picture, I used a word definition of Forbidding because of the example sentences that come with it when you search the word. It mentions a grim building and in my picture is shows a ominous shack in a vacant field.
